Postpartum Abdominal Binder

The Postpartum Abdominal Binder specially designed to contour to a woman's body.

Pregnancy places significant demands on the body, and recovery takes time. The Flex-Support® Postpartum Abdominal Binder is designed to provide gentle, adjustable support to the abdomen and lower back during the postpartum healing process. By delivering comfortable compression, the binder helps support weakened abdominal muscles, promotes stability, and encourages a smoother recovery after childbirth.

When combined with your physician's recommended exercise and recovery plan, the binder may also help improve comfort, support the body's natural healing process, and assist the abdomen as it gradually returns to its pre-pregnancy shape. Compression can also help improve the appearance of skin as it recovers following pregnancy.

Thoughtfully designed for a woman's changing body, the Postpartum Abdominal Binder features a padded, contoured back panel that provides exceptional lumbar support while conforming comfortably to your natural shape. A unique cutout design allows for a full range of motion while helping prevent the binder from rolling, bunching, or shifting during everyday activities. Lightweight, breathable materials help keep you comfortable without trapping excess heat.

One of the binder's most valuable features is its ability to adjust as your body changes throughout recovery. The 8" and 10" models include dual elastic side panels that allow you to fine-tune the fit and compression level as swelling decreases and your body heals. The compression should feel supportive and secure without causing discomfort or restricting your breathing.

With its soft, plush back panel and low-profile design, the Postpartum Abdominal Binder fits comfortably under clothing for discreet everyday wear. Its flexible construction also allows you to breastfeed comfortably without removing the binder.

Always consult your OB/GYN or healthcare provider before using a postpartum abdominal binder. It may be worn after both vaginal and C-section deliveries, with many women beginning use within a few days after childbirth or bringing it to the hospital for postpartum recovery. Most women wear the binder for approximately 4–8 weeks, although the ideal duration varies based on your recovery and your healthcare provider's recommendations.

The Postpartum Abdominal Binder is latex-free to help minimize the risk of skin irritation. It should not be worn while showering, bathing, or swimming.

Care Instructions

To maintain the binder's performance and extend its lifespan, hand wash with a mild detergent and allow it to air dry completely. Do not machine wash or machine dry, as excessive heat can damage the elastic materials and hook-and-loop closure, reducing the binder's effectiveness. Do not wear the binder while it is wet.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the correct size?

The Postpartum Abdominal Binder comes in two sizes and in two different heights. The binder’s design allows it to be constantly readjusted to the body allowing it to cover a wide range of body shapes.
